We're at the airport waiting for our cheap flight to the land of the long white cloud - and, perhaps unsurprisingly, the forecast is still for showers. But that's okay. It could make for some atmospheric photos and some interesting driving. I have spent some time now on a site (www.wises.co.nz) recommended by a NZ colleague which gives place-to-place driving directions and have printed out the most likely routes (and brought them with us). Alas we are in for a short wait as the flight is delayed - but not cancelled as has just happened to another flight to NZ.
